Drop Down Menu not connected to a Value List is better...

How is it that two identical Fields behave differently? The Fields Position & Department are both set to allow Autofill from a Drop Down Menu, but only the Position Fields throws up the warning: ""Position" is defined to only contain specific Values. Allow this Value?".

Solution: The difference is that the Position Field has been set up in the Define Fields Table to connect to" Member of Value List" with the Position Value List and "Allow User to override during data entry". 

It now remains to be seen why is it that there is such a function at all...

Ask FileMaker to add the following option to the Appearance Tab in the Inspector, under the Text Formatting compartment: “SizeMask”, which should see to it that we have the option to set the Field so that any text in the Field will be viewable, regardless of the Field Size.

Ask FileMaker - How can I change an Object (Field, Label, Button) in more than one Layout?  

This will save so much time when one has to change the same Object across dozens of Layouts.  

If this is not possible in the current version of FileMaker, can this be queued for a next version?
